There are many reasons one can feel anxious, nervous, and unsettled about certain aspects of life. Sometimes we need to reach out for help. As anxiety becomes more of a problem, so does our avoidance of what we find upsetting.
When we avoid the person, place, or thing that triggers our anxiety, the anticipation of what it might feel like to experience our fear looms larger. With this ever-present fear, we find ourselves in a painful cycle of ever-increasing anxious feelings until the point when anxiety affects our work, family, relationships, and happiness. We can help. We at IAP's Bay Area Center for Anxiety, are a group of therapists with specialized experience working with anxiety. Your treatment will be individually designed with you in mind and consists of many proven techniques based on current research and clinical studies. |

We provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat anxiety. When working with children and teenagers, we involve parents to help them also learn the techniques to reinforce the learning at home. Our goal is producing lasting change with goal directed, focused, evidence-based treatments.
