Educational Therapy 
Educational Therapy offers individuals with learning disabilities, including dyslexia, non-verbal learning disorders, reading and writing difficulties, math disabilities, and other learning challenges a variety of intensive, individualized interventions developed to remediate learning problems.

Our Educational therapist, Rebecca Robbins, helps her clients build sustainable skills and self awareness leading to mindful choices and lifelong habits that enable them to live the life that they want.

Upcoming Workshops

Social Skills Workshops
Teaching young people how to play and work successfully with their peers. This workshop is ongoing until June, and covers skills needed for navigating the social sphere, including conflict resolution, conversation skills, self regulation, affect regulation, and giving and receiving constructive feedback.   

Placement done on a case-by-case basis. 

Groups meet on Friday afternoons in Marin, and Thursday afternoons in San Francisco. Call for more information. 
This workshop begins in January.

Math Foundations

Strengthen foundational knowledge, increase confidence, and  improve problem solving skills in this two week intensive. 

Session A:  For Students entering 2nd and 3rd grades. 
Session B:  For students entering 4th and 5th grades.
Session C: For students entering 6th and 7th grades. 

Workshops beginning in Summer 2012.

Reading, Literacy, and Spelling

An intensive for struggling readers.  This will cover the mechanics of reading as well as comprehension, and the rules of grammar and spelling. We use research supported Orten-Gillingham methods including Lindamood-Bell and Slingerland.

Session A:  For Students entering 2nd and 3rd grades. 
Session B:  For students entering 4th and 5th grades.
Session C: For students entering 6th and 7th grades.

Study Skills, Organization, and Self Regulation

This course will cover strategies for studying, self-assessment, materials management, self advocacy, and methods for improving focus.  We also discuss task approach, and work on overcoming procrastination and anxiety response to academic tasks.
